Statutory Inspection of Anglican Schools (SIAS)
The National Society has designed the SIAS process to support the effectiveness and distinctive character of Church of England schools. With all the Church of England dioceses, the National Society is working hard to ensure that this inspection is carried out to the highest possible standards of practice.
Some comments from the 2008-2009 report:
- The distinctiveness and effectiveness of St Mary’s Nursery and Infant School as a Church of England school are outstanding.
- The school, through its distinctive Christian character, is outstanding at meeting the needs of all learners.
- The impact of collective worship on the school community is outstanding.
- The effectiveness of the religious education is good.
- The effectiveness of the leadership and management of the school as a church school is outstanding.
